Ajith’s ultimate start of ‘ASAL’ in Tokyo



Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar is keen striking gold with his ‘ASAL’. Yughi Sethu and Saran together have penned a brilliant story with interesting screenplay and final draft for certain sequences are yet to be completed. Earlier, the team had plans to fly for Switzerland in canning certain songs and talkie portions including gang war. But then, due to the vivid swine flu, the location has been shifted towards the busiest town in globe – Tokyo.

On the pars, Producer Prabhu and Ajith along with their team have spotted some of the exotic locations in Malaysia as well. With the shooting slated to hit the floors by next week, both Prabhu and his Production team are in full swing.

Thala’s smart work to complete ASAL soon


When many actors are known for signing various projects at the same time, Mr. Perfectionist of Kollywood – ‘Ultimate Star’ Ajith Kumar has been splendidly focusing on merely one project at a time. Now, it’s more illustrious with his upcoming film ‘ASAL’. If you were all dashed down with spirits on the film not hitting screens for Diwali, cheer up for it’s ready to strike with a spectacular bonanza for this Pongal. With the major portion of film shot across the globe, the entire team returned from France recently after completion of 80% of production.

Now with couple of songs and a stunt sequence pending, Ajith Kumar and Saran have decided to take up the post production work simultaneously as it would lead to completion of film very shortly. According to sources, the film features Ajith Kumar in dual roles as a cop and the most wanted baddie of globe. It’s almost like a Tom and Jerry tale with the treatment of gang wars and edge-seated thriller elements.

‘Billa’ awarded as Stylish Film of 2008


Here goes the best label afforded by Ajith Kumar’s ‘Billa’ as it has won the title of ‘Stylish Film of 2008’ by South Scope Awards. South Scope – The first English South Indian Film Magazine had hosted the awards at Hyderabad recently on last Sunday (October 25).

Over there, various celebrities from Tamil film industry were awarded on the basis of ‘Stylish Icons’. Well, when it was the occasion for ‘Best Stylish Film’, Vishnuvardhan walked with honor to collect the awards for his ‘Billa’.

Superstar Rajnikanth Launches Thala’s ‘ASAL’





An ultimate movie launch that wasn’t so much spotted in the past. Yup!!! Thala’s ‘ASAL’ starts rolling today and for a greater surprise, the celebrities walking for the occasion were kept unrevealed. But all of sudden when we were eagerly awaiting, it was a moment of seventh heaven as Superstar Rajnikanth stepped out of his car along with his daughter Soundarya. The actor was so simply dressed and so was his daughter. Within other fraction of moments, it was Actor Surya and his brother Karthi appearing for the occasion. Director K. Balachandar and Lyricist Vairamuthu were too present for the event showering their blessing for the success of this film.

So, How about Thala? He was gently glossy with his White Silky Shirt and Dhoti with the pakka looks of ASAL.

Superstar Rajnikanth uttered that he wouldn’t miss any occasion that happens forever in the house of great actor Sivaji Ganeshan.

Superstar wished Ajith Kumar assuring the throngs that it’s a doubtless victory for the trio combo Ajith-Saran-Bharadwaj.

Simbhu may sing for Ultimate Star ‘ASAL’



Well, the latest grapevine buzz across the town is Little Superstar Simbhu crooning for Ajith Kumar’s ‘ASAL’. Ah! it’s a well known fact that Simbhu has been an ardent fan of Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar right from a long period. The actor is so excited about getting this gracious offer. When approached the filmmaker Saran and Music Director Bharadwaj, they said ‘Talks are going on now and nothing has been confirmed till the date’. However inner sources have confirmed that Silambarasan will be rendering his voice for this film, but for sure it isn’t the title song.

So, keep yourselves electrified for the sizzling number…

Ajith Kumar (Tamil: அஜித் குமார்) (born in Hyderabad, India on May 1, 1971) is an Indian film actor. He began his career doing various jobs in Andhra Pradesh, while also attending a theatre for stage plays, to follow his dream to act. After three years of acting in minor roles and small-budget ventures in Indian films, Ajith Kumar gained the Indian cinema’s attention in 1995 by playing the role of Jeeva in Aasai, his first blockbuster and since then he has acted in over forty Indian films, with his main option being the Tamil Cinema industry. He is nicknamed Ultimate Star by his fans and credited as such in his movies. He has high fan followings in the Indian subcontinent, Europe and The Far East. Ajith Kumar, before retiring in 2005, was a motor car racer, taking part in Formula 3 championships for the minor outfit, Mango Racing. He was in 2004, India’s third best driver after Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandok.

An accomplished dramatic actor and celebrity, he has won several awards at a regional award including State Awards from Tamil Nadu. Ajith Kumar performs predominantly in leading roles in high-budget and major studio films, ranging from romantic comedies and drama to science fiction and action thrillers. His most popular films include Kadhal Kottai (1996), Vaali (1999), Citizen(2001), Villain (2002), and Varalaru (2006). He is married to fellow Indian actress, Shalini.
